About

As a young girl I was constantly crafting in my basement alongside my Mother who was also an artist. Scrapbooking, creating compositions with collage, pottery & illustration have always been hobbies I've enjoyed throughout life. In high school I knew I wanted to be an art teacher. I went on to pursue my B.A. of Science in Education from University of Nebraska at Omaha. During that time I also studied art and Spanish at Veritas Universidad in San Jose, Costa Rica in 2014 for one semester. My inspirations come from those travels & details in architecture. During that time I loved seeing illustrators who were depicting their communities in their art. This motivated me to follow.
In 2015 I started illustrating neighborhoods in Omaha and creating reproductions of my work to sell at makers markets. I was teaching art full time and officially opened the art business as a side hustle. In 2020 while teaching art in Omaha Public Schools I started to pursue my M.A. in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design. I received an Educator's Scholarship and put my nose to the sketchbook & Wacom. I recently graduated from SCAD in June of 2023. When I am not selling my work at the shop or markets I am spending time with my little blended family of 4. My husband and our two boys enjoy lots of true crime documentaries, days at the lake or park & exploring our local coffee shops.
